Crazy busy weekend over here! We completed some major TLC spring cleaning on the closets, creating three full bags for Goodwill. We also started the process of painting all the things we’ve been meaning to paint for 3 years. We did manage to have some fun though, so here’s a little montage of everything.

I woke up bright and early on Saturday morning to coach our free class . The temps were already in the 60s and we were able to open the garage to let the sun and fresh air in during class. I love coaching our free introduction class and meeting all the potential new athletes to introduce them to CrossFit. Now that I’m pregnant it sends an even clearer message that CrossFit is for everyone, and it really seems to put a lot of their minds at ease when they are nervous about giving it a try.

Afterward, Neil picked me up and we headed south for Jeff City CrossFit’s first competition, the Capital City Throwdown. We had new and seasoned competitors in the mix, and as always, it was a blast to watch them take CrossFit to the next level. It also made me miss competing. Some pics:

Afterward, Neil and I grabbed a late lunch of BBQ at Lutz’s. We shared the sampler — it was a ton of food!

We got home and immediately opened all the windows and doors to enjoy the weather. I started patching and prepping the new door to the garage, as well as the bathroom. Here’s the finished door:

The bathroom is definitely still in progress. Next week I think we’re going to tackle the frame and the drywall going down the stairs. Now that we have a bright new door, it just makes that area seem a little neglected (read: gross). I also want to tackle the exterior doors and the garage before it gets hot. Our work never ends…
