The cold days are becoming fewer, and after much waiting we decided to start some of our gardening this weekend. We’ve been pouring over our seeds for weeks anxiously deciding what to plant. To test the waters and survive the last few cold snaps we might receive, we opted to plant a few hardy vegetables in the garden bed and start our tomatoes and peppers in trays. Starting them in trays serves two purposes. Not only does it make them easy to move out of crazy spring weather but our double transplant method (2 containers before in-ground planting) creates stronger, heartier plants less subject to weak stems and fungal diseases. We’re working up our yard map, and hope to share it with you soon!
