Cucumber Egg Salad

August 19, 2010

Sigh. Sometimes the light in our kitchen is just right, and taking photos is nearly effortless. The light in these came out perfectly, why can’t it be like this all the time? We’ve been slowly widdling down the veggie and fruit onslaught, and after a particularly rigorous workout Saturday morning decided we needed protein like [...]

Sweet and Tangy Strawberry Salad

August 6, 2010

So if you checked in yesterday you probably saw that we’ve been avoiding the kitchen quite a bit this week. With the insane summer heat and just off a week-long trip in Montana, we’ve been kind of taking it easy with our kitchen adventures and reverting back to some easy favorites. Both my Grandma (now deceased) and Grandpa have lived in the same 10-mile radius their whole lives, and their families have resided in the county since the [...]

June 1, 2008

We’ve used this recipe twice now. Last weekend hanging out with Anja and Steve, we made this for an accompaniment to the burgers which was extremely complimentary. And since we had leftover materials we made it again on Tuesday and added some chicken we bbq’d on the grill. It’s light, filled with citrus flavor, and [...]
